MC-FXO-32-SC20A and MC-FXS-32-SC20B are 32 channel POTS (Plain Old Telephone System) over fiber converter / extender. This Voice over Fiber converter uses RJ-11C modular connectors for each copper pair connection. A pair of MC-FXO-32-SC20A and MC-FXS-32-SC20B is required to set up a location A to location B application system. FXO type unit acts as a transmitter and connects with an analog telephone line (PSTN) or PBX station line and has ability to detect ring voltages and to act as a telephone. FXS type unit acts as a receiver and connects with a telephone set or a fax machine.
MC-FXO-32-SC20A and MC-FXS-32-SC20B are standalone units with AC to DC5V 6A adapters and use WDM or bi-directional optical transceivers, Type A: 1310nmTx/1550nmRx and Type B: 1550nmTx/1310nmRx, using one single-mode fiber for 20Km or using one multi-mode fiber for up to 2Km and SC connector. So they need to be used in pair.
MC-FXO/FXS-32 series converters use advanced digital multiplexing communication solutions for clear voice and high stability. Users do not need to do any settings or adjustment. They are designed for Plug and Play features. Other transmission distance (40Km, 60Km, 80Km and 100Km) converters are available at customer special request. Fast Ethernet Port is available for your PC, IP camera or other network applications.
